This blog gives you a realistic idea, how much you can earn with your studies by doing part-time jobs. If student prefer job on education? How much he can earn by doing odd job? The blog presents different earning details per month of different 6 countries. Normally students face ground realities after they reach a particular country. Students have a lot of expectations before they leave their homeland. I must say, leave your expectations at the airport, so it would be easy for you to settle down and earn your living.

It always hurt to have Expectations from a Situation, Regardless New place (you move) or any Person.

Expectation is the root of all heartache.

William Shakespeare

There are different parameters which play an important role as it comes to earning. This blog answers follwoing conditions one by one to cover, How much I can earn on Student Visa?

Let see these factors in details one by one.

Student without Skills

Are you a serious student and want to complete your studies? but you do not have any skill?

If the answer is yes and you do not have any specific skill? Than Luckly, you would face the following scenario.

There are different kinds of part time jobs, students can do to support their study period in a University.

You will do part-time jobs, especially on weekend. The income per month can be more in big cities when you do a comparison between small and large cities. But expenses are high in big cities as compared to small cities.

Majority of students ask, can they pay Tuition fee by doing odd jobs? Answer is clear No, Regardless which country or City you are in. I don’t know anyone that lives and pays their tuition fees on a part-time job.

You can not earn enough money to pay your tuition fee by doing part-time jobs. So do not even think about this. It is almost impossible to pay the tuition fee by doing part-time jobs if you want to complete your studies in a given time of duration. Especially in those countries, where the tuition fee is quite high.

I’m not saying all of this to discourage you, on the contrary. My point here is to demonstrate that in order to find a part-time job in any new country, one needs to put a lot of effort and stand out the multitude to find one. The challenge is real here. Once you have part time job, you would be able only to meet ends per month.

Your part-time jobs income will help to pay rent and bus card charges. If you are lucky enough, you can manage food charges also per month by doing odd jobs. Normally with part-time jobs, students do not need to pay taxes as income is low.

But if your income cross the Threshold amount of year. You would need to pay Taxes. For example, If you are studying in Sweden, than threshold income is 18,200 SEK in Year. If you are earning less than 18,200 SEK in a year, Then you no need to pay tax and your employer can pay you without deducting tax. But once your income cross the figure of 18,200 SEK, Tax would be deducted accroding to Swedish Law.

Now lets move on second condition.

Student with Skills

Do you have any particular skill which differs you from others?

Do you have any particular skill which differs you from others?

Skill-based jobs pay a higher amount in less time.

Now there are many options to earn extra bucks as a freelancer doing online tasks. There are many skills online where you can work. Ask yourself, which is that skill where you are good. You can teach language in a particular region to interested people. Even you can find a part-time job at a university or company in your field of studies. Skill-based jobs pay a higher amount in less time. You can focus on your studies by doing skill-based part-time jobs.

Third and last condition is

Student with Zero Focus on Studies

You do not want to focus on studies? You prefer to earn money when you land in particular country?

If the study is your secondary choice, you want to work. Then you can work 20 to 24 days a month and can earn a reasonable amount for yourself. Which I never encourage to students, you are earning extra bucks at the cost of your professional degree. But the choice is yours, which way you want to take. You have both options.

To sum up First Part of Blog:

  1. Part time jobs are easy to find, if you can understand basic phrases of local language in particular country.
  2. Its nearly impossible to Cover Tuition fee by doing odd jobs.
  3. The University will take large chunk of your time. Remember this once you start doing any part time job.
  4. Assuming that you work Around 20 hours a week, remember that you are still a student and that the deadlines and assignments will be there. A reasonable amount of time is needed to complete in time the deadlines.
  5. Students can earn higher with skill based jobs by giving less time.
  6. Students with focus only on job, can earn reasonable amount at the cost of professional degree.
  7. If your income cross the Threshold amount of year. You would need to pay Taxes.
