English Language Requirements

Applicants wishing to pursue bachelor-level studies are required to have completed their secondary education or an equivalent education level necessary for higher education. Applicants must be eligible for higher education in their own country. Additional qualifying examinations may also be required for admission to higher education institutions in Estonia.

Requirements for admissions in Masters

Applicants wishing to pursue master-level studies are required to have completed bachelor-level studies, and those wishing to pursue a doctoral-level studies must have completed master-level studies.

After finalizing your online application, send the printed online application with certified copies of the required documents (certificates of previous education, certificate of English skills etc.) to your first choice university. Please confirm with the university what documents you need to send. Make sure that the documents will arrive before admission deadline. Required documents to Study in Estonia?

For admission to Bachelor’s degree course, the following documents are important. 

  • Secondary School Certificate (ISSC)
  • Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC)

English Language Test is required to get admission in Bachelor’s degree courses. You can submit IELTS or TOEFL. 

For admission to a Master’s degree course, the following documents are important.

Note: There is no embassy in Pakistan for Estonia. Applicant needs to submit documents in embassy of Hungary. University will assist you for embassy at the time of a visa interview. 

Study in Estonia without IELTS

You can study in Estonia without IELTS or TOEFL. What you have to do, is to take an English Preparatory course. Once you would complete the English Language Preparatory course, you can start a bachelor’s degree course at a specified university. You have to mention in advance a bachelor’s degree course before you apply for English preparatory course.

The English language preparatory course duration varies for each applicant depending upon his/her English language fluency.  

For most master’s degree courses, IELTS is optional. You can only submit an English proficiency letter to get admission. Several English taught master courses to Study in Estonia. Some of the more expensive specialties are medicine, law, business administration and social sciences.

In addition, some universities offer a few Master and Bachelor programmes with no tuition fee at all (tuition fee waivers, tuition free programmes).
