Tuition fees at Tampere Universities:

Tampere Universities offer Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programmes conducted entirely in English.

The tuition fees charged for the Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programmes offered in English at Tampere University and Tampere University of Applied Sciences range between 6,000 and 12,000 euros per academic year

There are tuition fee scholarships for Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programmes offered in English. Scholarships are merit-based and may be awarded primarily at admission to the most successful applicants.

Some scholarships may also be earned during studies.

In addition, Tampere University cooperates with organisations which provide scholarships to specific groups of applicants.

Tampere University Tuition Fee Scholarship:

The Scholarship covers 100% tuition fees for the programme duration. The programme duration varies for bachelors and masters.

Bachelors have a duration of 3 years. You would get free education for three years at Tampere University

Master’s degree course has a duration of 1 to 2 years. You would get free education accordingly at Tampere University.

Students can take this scholarship for up to 5 years by completing Bachelors and Masters degrees at Tampere University. That means, You can study in Finland for free at Tampere University for five crucial years of your life.

Important Points:

In order to retain the full tuition fee scholarship in the following year of studies, the recipient must earn at least 55 credits during the academic year as detailed in the personal study plan.

If a scholarship recipient completes 50-54 credits during the academic year, his or her scholarship will be reduced to 50% in the following academic year.

If a scholarship recipient completes less than 50 credits during the academic year, he or she will be charged the full tuition fee in the following academic year.

What is Application Process?

To be considered for the Tampere University tuition fee scholarship, you must apply for the scholarship as part of your application for admission during the application period for admission.

What is Selection Criteria?

Scholarships are awarded on the basis of academic overall assessment in which all application information and educational documents for your scholarship application are taken into consideration and Motivation Letter can be decisive.

Early Bird Scholarships

These scholarships cover 50% of the tuition fee during the first year of studies.

This scholarship is available at admission to all fee-paying students, excluding students who have been awarded a Tampere University tuition fee scholarship at admission.

Students may take advantage of the early bird scholarship by accepting the offered study place and paying 50% of the tuition fee within two weeks after receiving information on admission. This offer is valid only for the first year of studies.

Scholarships for Transfer and Open Route Applications

If you are applying for admission through transfer or open university route, You are still eligible to apply for Tampere University tuition fee scholarships.

To be considered for the scholarship, you must apply for the scholarship as part of your application for admission in Studyinfo.fi during the application period for admission.

Scholarships during Studies

If you have not received a scholarship at the time of admission, you have not lost the opportunity for a scholarship at all.

During studies, all fee-paying students are eligible to apply for Tampere Universities’ tuition fee scholarships covering 50% of tuition fees.

The scholarship is awarded to a fee-paying student who completes at least 60 ECTS credits with a GPA of no less than 3/5 in an academic year.

Scholarships are awarded after the first year of studies for one year at a time upon application.

International Advancement Scholarship

This scholarship at Tampere University rewards fee-paying students for making excellent progress in studies. It is available annually for students who pay tuition fee for their studies.

Scholarship can be the full or partial reduction of Tuition fee depending upon the marks percentage of an applicant during the Study period of last year.

Students who are studying on a 100 % tuition fee scholarship are not eligible.

You may be awarded the International Advancement Scholarship if you complete at least 60 ECTS of studies included in your degree within the academic year or graduate from your degree within the target time for completion.

Target Time of Completion is three years for a Bachelor’s degree Course and two years for Master’s degree Course.

It is a 1500 Euros scholarship paid to the student in the autumn semester following the academic year in question or upon graduation.

It is possible to earn the scholarship more than once during the normative study time for your degree(s). 

The Tampere University International Advancement Scholarship is available for students who are admitted to Tampere University in 2021 or later.

Note:

If student is on The Erasmus Mundus Scholarship programme, He/She is not eligible for scholarships mentioned above at Tampere University.

Fulbright Graduate Award

The Fulbright Finland Foundation together with Tampere University offer a Fulbright-Tampere University Graduate Award for a U.S. student admitted to a Tampere University Master’s programme.

The application deadline for the award is typically in early October.

These scholarships are proposed by the head of the degree programme and awarded by the Tampere Universities of Applied Sciences.
