University application process is easier as compared to many other countries.

At first, choose the right degree programme or course at any danish university. The application process is a bit different in Denmark as compared to other European countries. In the majority of EU countries, students can start the application directly at the university web portal.

Admission in Undergraduate’s Programme

For admission in undergraduate programmes at the danish university, You can’t apply directly to the university website.

Applications to undergraduate higher education in Denmark are submitted directly to optagelse.dk. You can apply to up to eight undergraduate programmes. Read all the important information carefully, so you do not make any mistake during the application process.

You can rank your courses according to your priority. If you get admission in highest ranked course, the courses would be removed. So, prioritize the course, you are most passionate about.  

General entry Requirements:

To get admission to a Danish university in a bachelor’s degree, your qualifications must be the equivalent of a Danish upper secondary school leaving certificate. However, for certain undergraduate programs, a relevant vocational qualification may be sufficient. 

Admission in Master’s Programme

For instance, an internationally recognized Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is the main requirement when enrolling for a Master’s degree at a university in Denmark.

While To apply for a Master’s you have to do it via each degree programme website. Make sure to know what the language requirements are, and whether you need to prove skills in English before enrolling in a degree programme.

Language requirements for a Danish University Application

There are more than 700 internationally renowned programs that are taught in the English language in Danish Universities. Subject areas cover a wide range of fields such as technology, science, pharmaceutical sciences, architecture, business, design, humanities, and many more.

Applicants who have previously studied in an English-speaking country, or have acquired fluent English proficiency by other means, may be exempt from submitting formal English test results to demonstrate their English proficiency.

To enroll in degree courses for study in Denmark, you will need a certificate proving your English language proficiency.

Accepted tests and scores are the following:

  • IELTS: English B – test score of at least 6.5 points
  • TOEFL: English B – test scores in the ranges of 550-583 (paper-based), or 213-237 (computer-based test), or 79-93 (internet-based test)
  • CAE: English B – Certificate in Advanced English (CAE)

Required documents for admission in Danish University

You need to fulfill the following requirements to obtain admission to Danish University.
