I am writing to you to apply for MA in English Studies. My aim is to gain more knowledge and become more efficient. The University of ——————- is the best opportunity ever for me and my future career and therefore I am interested to secure position in this University. My goal is get expertise in the field of English Studies with sound theoretical, methodological and practical knowledge of the English language through this programme and later I can apply such knowledge in practice.

I have completed Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature recently. While, Courses in my Bachelor’s degree analyze global intellectual and cultural traditions, ideals and values in order to enhance self-understanding and empathy for others; explain how societies are defined in relation to culture, nationality, race, ethnicity and gender; and analyze and explain implied and expressed cultural values and attitudes in works of literature, as well as explain the development of human institutions, ideas and social structures.

Meanwhile, the courses in my Bachelor’s degree are also related to the social sciences, elucidating ideas in the following areas: sociology, psychology, history, language theory, political science and cultural studies. Additionally, My Bachelor program provided me with a broad knowledge of the ways in which literature explores the human experience and how language conveys meaning. In addition, this program in English provided me relevant preparation to be enrolled in MA in English Studies.

Now, I would like to take Master’s courses in English at this prestigious University. After graduating in this MA degree, I would carry tasks and fill positions which require special expertise and education; conceptual and abstract thinking; and practical skills in the field of English Studies. Meanwhile, I can be an independent research and will carry out independent scholarly work and publishing original studies on the culture, history and literature of English-speaking nations and the English language. Later on, I would transmit knowledge pertaining to the English language, English-speaking cultures and societies. I have a high level of professional motivation and commitment to pursue this course. As later on in this course, I would have a highly developed ability to analyse, ability to explore similarities and differences between different cultures, and intercultural attitudes, high level of proficiency in English and good communication skills, good presentation abilities.
