My name is ——- and I want to apply for a master’s in Fine Arts at the University —— Finland. I have BA in Fine Arts in combination with a documented artistic practice from a prestigious university in my home country. While, I have a GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (83-86%) in my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree program. I have attached all the documents including details about my artistic practice, which demonstrate artistic qualification.
The student’s aspirations, freedom of choice and individual guidance are integral to studies in fine arts. While The University’s teachers are distinguished visual artists and experts. Therefore, I will be provided with a workspace and an excellent opportunity to exhibit my art in public, thanks to the Academy’s active exhibition activities. I will acquire skills and knowledge that will enable me to work independently as a visual artist and understand my work as a part of the context of contemporary art and society, where artists may adopt multi-faceted roles and profiles.
Studies focus on artistic activities and theoretical studies. The Academy of Fine Arts focuses on independent art and will give me the flexibility to pursue my aspirations when selecting courses and planning my curriculum. Individual guidance and independent artistic work are integral to the studies, but group instruction, workshops, field trips and different kinds of projects are also important and increase the sense of community within the academy. Therefore, I want to be part of this master’s program.
After completing my master’s in Fine Arts, I will have myriad opportunities to participate in the local art scene and develop important industry connections. Meanwhile, I will also be able to teach at schools and universities across the country, speak at art conferences, exhibit my work in galleries and museums, direct gallery exhibitions, chair art departments, and show my artwork in private and public collections.
