These grants are awarded by the Austrian Exchange Service and the Academic Cooperation and Mobility Unit on behalf of and financed by the Federal Ministry of Education, Science and Culture.

These grants are for international students from Non-EU background. Students must apply for master degree programme at an Austrian University of applied Sciences.

Eligibility for these Grants

The program is open to applicants, who fulfill following Criteria.

  • Who study a master Programme or have successfully completed at least 4 semesters of studies within a bachelor/diploma Programme by the time of taking up the grant.
  • Who are studying at a University in one of the eligible countries.
  • Maximum age limit: 35 years 
  • Applicants must not have studied/academic work in Austria in the last six months before taking up the grant.
  • Proficiency in the language of instruction.

Deadline to Apply:  March 1 every year.

Alps Adriatic Master Scholarships

These Scholarships are available by University in Austria by University of Klagenfurt.

The Alps-Adriatic Master Scholarships are awarded to highly qualified graduates of Bachelor studies from third countries who wish to pursue one of the Master’s degrees at Alpen-Adria-Universität Klagenfurt.

The Alps-Adriatic Master Scholarships aim to pursue the following objectives:

  • Enhancing internationalization at Universität Klagenfurt
  • Increasing the number of international students at Universität Klagenfurt.

Alps-Adriatic scholarship holders will:

  • Gain access to excellent higher education opportunities in an international study environment.

Diploma in Hospitality & Tourism Management Scholarships

This is Government Scholarship, which awards funds for International students.

Austrian Development Cooperation (ADC) Government of Salzburg, and Salzburg Economic Chamber provides scholarships in Hospitality and Tourism Management. 

Diploma course for higher qualification has duration of 8-months. Teachers Training for further qualification of lectures has duration of 9-months.

What Includes in these Scholarships?

These scholarships are fully-funded. Which Covers daily expenses and Tuition fee. Food, accommodation, travel expenses and insurance are includes in it. 

Who can apply?

  • Students from developing countries of Africa, Asia and Latin America.
  • Students from those countries are Priorities for scholarship,  which are  partner countries of the Austrian Development Cooperation (ADC).

Scholarships Eligibility:

  • High school certificate or equivalent, at least one year experience in tourism industry, professional training is an advantage.
  • High school certificate or equivalent, at least one year teaching experience for teacher training applicants.

MA Scholarships in Peace & Conflict Studies

These scholarships are available for the MA Program in Peace and Conflict Studies at European University Center for Peace Studies. These are fully funded scholarships as it cover tuition fee and living cost. Accommodation and travel charges are included in it. Students from these regions are eligible for these scholarships. West Africa/Sahel, East Africa/The Great Lakes, and Southern Africa are eligible.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Undergraduate Degree 
  • Relevant work experience
  • Good Command in English

Scholarships at Graz University of Technology in Austria

TU Graz is placing a focus on the training of information security experts. Three master’s degree programmes offered in the English language allow students to specialise in information security. Scholarships are awarded within the English-language master’s degree programmes in Computer Science, Information and Computer Engineering or Software Engineering and Management.

While, Financial assistance of 4,000 Euro per academic year – up to two academic years.

Mondi Scholarships

These Scholarships are available for bachelor programs and for Master programs. These fields of study are preferred for scholarships.

Scholarships are not available to students who are already studying in Austria. Only International students applying first time, can apply for these scholarships.

Meanwhile, For bachelor’s degree course, scholarship duration is 4 years. While for master’s course, scholarship duration is 1 to 2 years depending upon course length.

Scholarships are available for one year each. So, The extension of the scholarship will depend on the student’s success. These scholarships are fully-funded. As it cover tuition fee and living cost. While, There are travel charges and insurance also included in these scholarships. 

Maximum of 40 Scholarship holders each year by Mondi Group. Scholarships grant 12,000 Euros in total in a year for International students.

Applications can be made by nationals of African, Asian, Central and Eastern European Countries and Austrian citizens, who are eligible for admission to an Austrian university or a university in their respective country of residence.

The Institute for Human Sciences Robert Bosch Fellowships

The Institute for Human Sciences (IWM) awards 4 research fellowships in one the academic year. The programme is supported by the Robert Bosch Foundation. Robert Bosch Fellows are invited to spend 6 months in Vienna to pursue their research project while working in residence at the institute.

Funds issued by Institute are 10,000 Euros to cover all expenses related to the stay in Vienna (travel, apartment, health insurance, incidentals). Applications are accepted from PhD candidates and Post-doctoral researchers. The program is directed to graduates with a degree in the humanities and social sciences.

Voestalpine VAE Scholarships

It is University Scholarship in Austria for International students.

TU Graz and voestalpine VAE GmbH will jointly award two scholarships, each for a period of two years, to excellent TU Graz master’s students in the fields of Mechanical and Civil Engineering. The scholarship is preferably for newly admitted students at TU Graz.

Scholarship has duration of two years.
